Basketball is played by two teams on a basketball court. At either end of the court there is a basket 10 feet high in the air. The aim is to get the ball through the loop of the basket. At no time can a player run whilst carrying the ball, instead it can be bounced along or thrown to another player on the team. Soccer

Soccer is a game played by two teams on a pitch with goals at each end. The idea is to score goals by kicking a ball into the goal. The ball can only be kicked and never picked up and players must either intercept the ball or tackle each other to try and gain possession. Each team will have a goal keeper guarding the goal to try and prevent the other team scoring. At the end of the game (normally 90 minutes) the team with the most goals wins. Cricket

Cricket is an English game played by two opposing teams. Each team takes turns at batting and fielding. The fielding team will bowl a ball at the batsman who then has to hit it as far as possible. They then have to score runs whilst the ball is being returned to the bowler. There are many ways for a batsman to be got out, and the winning team is the one with the most runs once all batsmen have been knocked out. Rugby

The game of Rugby shares many similarities with Soccer. The main difference is that in Rugby players are allowed to pick up the ball and run with it in their hands towards the goal.
